Utilize BeaconAid-HF while monitoring your receiver to decode the global NCDXF/IARU HF beacon network and identify real-time band openings. Even if Morse code identifiers of the 18 beacon stations are unfamiliar, BeaconAid-HF, in conjunction with your receiver, will indicate where in the world the 20, 17, 15, 12, or 10-meter bands are demonstrably open within a three-minute window. Alternatively, employ the "By Beacon" view alongside your receiver to ascertain whether one or more bands are accessible to a desired DX destination.
Additionally, BeaconAid-HF provides convenient access to feedback from automated official monitor stations worldwide. By identifying the monitor closest to your location, you can view its reports seamlessly from within the program.
Essential solar-terrestrial conditions (solar flux, A-index, and K-index) are sourced from NOAA and prominently featured on multiple screens. Furthermore, propagation conditions for beacon bands are displayed prominently on the main screens.
BeaconAid-HF automatically updates its data sources—beacon operational status and monitor station lineup—without necessitating manual downloads for the latest beacon and monitor network information.
You have the option to utilize BeaconAid-HF offline or in areas without Location Services by manually inputting your current grid square.
For current users of the beacon network in ham radio or SWL pursuits, BeaconAid-HF streamlines operations significantly.
